Duanesburg Area Community Center
Swim Team
Fall/ Winter Season begins October 20th. Informational Meeting 10/8 (6:00pm) and Tryouts 10/15 (5:30 – 6:30pm) Swimmers must be able to swim 25yds. (One length of the pool). Swimmers will be placed in groups based on ability. Beginner groups meet two nights per week and more advanced groups meet three to five nights per week. In addition to practice there will be about 8 swim meets throughout the season. Meets are generally held on Saturdays. The Season ends the last week in February. An informational meeting will be held on 10/8. We will have two coaches this season Jenn Dixon and Brad Savoy. Cost: $175 Members (second child $150) $200 Non-Members
Participation in USA Swimming is an option this season (additional fees will apply).

The Duanesburg Electric Eels are a competitive swim team for kids and young adults. If you are interested in swimming competitively, meeting new friends, and developing your swim stroke, then you should join the Duanesburg Electric Eels. |

Parental involvement in our swim team is vital to our organization’s success. We expect parents to contribute time and volunteer for tasks required to run competitions. Tasks range from the very easy to those requiring training and certification. Additionally, each and every one of us has an important responsibility to serve as role model for our kids. We must offer respect to good sportsmanship, teamwork, and commitment. Hopefully we as parents will display those values at all times during this upcoming season. |
